Saved in Secret Places

It’s the 4th of the New Year already. We are surrounded by such pain and suffering. Wishing we had bought what it feels like those left behind in 2021 with us hand in hand into the New Year. Breathing in the tears, fears, and those who we held dear. But He said stop holding your breath. Breathe out my child, release the pain, say His name. His tears are like the rain, He cares for you too. Look up. See your name?

You’re free, He is the key. Bent in agony for all to see His blood saved you so we could be new, as He flew in the spirit He left a piece of Himself just for you, don’t be blue. If you belong to Him it’s written; your Happy ending; favor and blessings.

You have the King’s heart and that’s all you need to start. He never left you, time to turn the page. You are bound in His joy He will show you which way to go and lift up your soul. He told me to tell you 2022 brings His peace. And He saves those in the most secret of places. Now it’s time to do what He has told you to do. Push through there is more for you to do!

(Psalm 143:8)

Christmas with Kids

Having your kids fully present and excited for Christmas takes it to a whole nother level! I don’t think I’ve ever seen them this excited all year! 6, 4, and 2 are the perfect ages for a fully present Christmas & the best part of it all was feeling their joy, it was every bit that more contagious!

Maybe that’s how Jesus felt when He witnessed us walking more self-assured in discerning our worth. Recognize this every time you have a moment of self doubt: YOU were to die for!! YOU were so precious in His eyes He died just for you.

This is not just some stamp on another Happy Holiday it is HIS day that we get to remember He changed His true form to come into the earth and show us just how much we were really worth to Him. As you witness Christmas from your children’s eyes remember that same love you’re feeling today for them your Father’s love for you. Its just that much and more…

Gatekeepers of the Home

Ladies…I know that we wake up unaware of how powerful we actually are. We are the gatekeepers to our homes…the enemy will attack you before your husband or your children because he knows if he can pull down our minds and wrap us around in the belief we are of no value or worth, our voices are irrelevant that he can pull down it all….let’s take back our power and crush the head of the serpent. We our daughters of the most High. Cover your families in prayer each morning…cause we don’t come to play and every time you get in your feelings remember this battle is spiritual. Arm yourselves!!! Helmet of salvation loading prayer time got crashed by the kids lol

Open Hands

“Hold people with open hands, and keep God above all else.”

I read this in my devotional this morning and it really hit home. You can’t control people, your friendships, your significant other. Why try so hard to sway others to believe as you do whether it be political, biblical, relational? We are called to live like a light that speaks for itself. The sun doesn’t try to convince the darkness to come it simply is.  In this present world Christian culture has this idea if people don’t agree or line up to their views they get deleted or shamed. This is a far cry from what the good book tells us. People flocked to Jesus because of the life He lived. There is a quote that says  “Life isn’t just about darkness or light, rather it’s about finding light within the darkness.” That’s what our job is as Christians, loving those the world denies and bringing our peace where there is fire, not adding fuel. That applies to all relationships.

For we all return to our Father in heaven and have no true possessions here on this earth except for the spirit that resides in our soul. Being possessive is like clinging to sand it will only slip through your hands and bring emotions that have nothing to do with being a true child of God…cling to Him instead, not the news, not your spouse’s phone, not the friendship that offers no growth, not what others say about you. He is and has always provided solid ground so you won’t be so easily shaken when this world dissapoints or tries to consume you.. Fill yourself with the joy of His presence; no worry, no anxiety, only His peace. Be the person that spills out and over into the world with your goodness. “Then you will see and be radiant & your heart will tremble with joy and rejoice because the abundant wealth of the seas will be bought to you.
Isaiah 60:5

You’re Calling

This is what it looks like to get fed by His living word…

“What if we are the words that we are waiting to hear?” God often answers your call by answering the prayers of others who felt exactly like you did …that’s the beauty of a calling … You can start right where you’re at..He uses your testimonies and what you thought would define you in your weakness He pours His light into those dark places and gives you a renewed strength to bring others close to Him and in the process filled you with an unspeakable joy that no one else could fill except Him.

That’s the beauty of loving Christ, when you come to the table hungry, He always feeds His children. You’ll leave pouring out His light, wanting everyone else to get a taste of His indescribable glory!! I can’t stress enough personal relationship is everything! Get to know Him for yourself and He will meet you where you’re at and I promise He won’t keep you there cause He’s just that good!! He’s a restorer!!

You want community? He will bring it to you with like-minded people in rooms you thought you’d never see! Want purpose? Get specific in you’re prayers. Want clear answers? Ask and fast in prayer…Can you hear through these words that my confidence comes from Him, my validation, my fire!!!! If you are struggling to find Him or feel overwhelmed by the messiness of life, adulting, or are going through something that you can’t quite see the light at the end of the tunnel? Know He’s not all fire and brimstone, He’s a Father who’s possessive over all His children and He wants you, He loves you, and you have something in you that no one can bring to the world except you!

The Mom Devotion

“You brandished your bow and your quiver of arrows. You split open the earth with flowing rivers. The mountains watched and trembled. Onward swept the raging waters. The mighty deep cried out, lifting its hands in submission. The sun and moon stood still in the sky as your brilliant arrows flew and your glittering spear flashed. You marched across the land in anger and trampled the nations in your fury. You went out to rescue your chosen people, to save your anointed ones.

You crushed the heads of the wicked and stripped their bones from head to toe. yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.”

This is the same God we hold our ear up in the morning to hear His loving-kindness that are fresh every morning. This is how possessive He is of His children and those who come against them. Although we are living in mass deception from the enemy I know who has already won the battle. I know this home is only temporary, and we have a purpose while we’re here. Grateful to be His daughter and know what it’s like to be loved by Him!
Habakkuk 3:9‭-‬13‭, ‬18‭-‬19 NLT

The Leftovers

“What you decide to do with the leftovers is where you will find all the Glory that God gives!!” Sarah Jake’s said that!

Man…I felt that to my core. When everything is said and done will you get back up and try again or stay down and out? Meet Him where your at? Dust those knees off and get back up? You are not defined by what was left but what you decide to do with it.

Start…..now…and see His light come shining through all the projects you put down in the darkness cause you thought they weren’t good enough…have Hope and believe in the anchor of His goodness and truth that He trusted you enough to give you a purpose and willed you to get up and believe you were always more than enough, more than what they thought you were.

If you let Him show you, He will spill over and out onto every moment of doubt, analytical thought, and insecurity. When you felt like the imposter in the room he put you first on that roaster and let you shine bright while they wondered where these qualifications even came from He was busy multiplying through your leftovers!!!

His Table

His Table

Sometimes you don’t even know you’re starving until you are fed…..

He called me to His table…
And I ate at His feet with my toes curled in the grass as He drew the most magnificent purples, pinks, and oranges into an open canvased sky. As I watched the water dance, the sun swayed low to kiss the horizon. Such peace comes from seeking His presence. When I rose all the days stresses washed away with the soft lull of the tide.

What if we met Him where we were at? Imperfect and flawed? With the spring break and the babies occupied my fervent prayer has been that He show me the peace that comes from seeking Him. Amidst the pandemic its not always so easy…between work, kids, dinner prep, laundry, bath times and the list goes on to intentionally seek Him, but today this pocket of time was the blessing I needed. Some days I feel guilty for letting the time spent with Him go past me but I’m reminded of His promises and guilt is not one of them.

This states it perfectly, “He walks out on to the water to calm our hearts and still the wind and the waves. We don’t have to travel or drive or even strive to be with God. He is right in front of us, heart wide open, ready to hear whatever is on our hearts.”
